Currently lying in 5th place in the S.S.E. Airtricity League Bray Wanderers Manager Alan Mathews is in a confident mood as he takes his charges to the North West for their clash with Sligo Rovers on Saturday evening.
Following last weeks win over Limerick F.C Mathews said “It’s another three points another clean sheet and another game where we worked really really hard to get the win.”
Mathews feels his side can continue the good form they have shown over the last number of weeks and with his injury list shortening the players who start know they have to give of their best as there are players waiting in the wings to come in.
Jake Kelly (ankle) and defender Shane O’Connor (hamstring) are the only ones injury will sideline for Saturday’s game while defenders Adam Mitchell and Niall Cooney each serve a one match ban having reached four penalty points but Rob Maloney who was suspended for the Limerick game having been harshly sent off against Athlone Town returns to the squad having served his ban.
During the week Mathews stated that he was looking forward to the trip to Sligo, he said “We will take the confidences from last weeks win over Limerick F.C. to Sligo with us and see where that takes us”.
