By Cathy Lee
Young Irish musicians of the future in the Musical Youth Foundation have been given a boost by Ticketmaster.
The Musical Youth Foundation is a children’s charity that was set up in 2009 by Chris Maher as part of the Dublin City Soul Festival.
Their aim is to provide every child on the island of Ireland with access to a musical education and equal opportunity to have the truly life changing experience that learning an instrument is known to provide.
A long time goal for the charity is to establish of a music academy for all children where they can practise music, try out new instruments and collaborate in a safe and secure environment.
They are very interested in demonstrating how music can truly change someone’s life and specialise in branching out with children and teenage projects such as the “Rising Stars” organisation.
